Brilliant!

…berries, whipped cream, 
all slopped up in a delicious heap 
 — double zip-locked honey baked ham, 
a big bowl of brown stuff 
and my tired heart 
all wrapped up cold for the long ride home 
from a place I’d only been to once before — 
it was empty then, 
now filled with nothing that belongs to me 
 — I couldn’t find the book… 
but I promise you, I looked
