Tree. Photo by besotted poet

Here’s the path to Tree
Her song draws me from afar
Addictive blessing

Tree — great physician
Tree — all wisdom’s instructor
Tree — trust’s companion

Groundedness’s scent
Stillness’s blue cloak — star lined
Creek-song soars with birds

My trunk rests by Hers
Legs and roots intermingling
Soul perched on a branch

Photo by poet in prayer mode

Perhaps I’m part nymph
Dryad-thirst quenched in Tree’s arms
I kiss shadow’s light

Spring is my busiest time of year in the garden…Nevertheless, I find time in a long day outdoors to practice the Japanese art of Shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing.”

I haven’t been as disciplined when it comes to Medium, alas.
