EXACTLY. And laughing is just fine. I wanted the poem to be both humorous and spiritual.

I am SO taking a page from your history next year. For one thing, I’m a vegetarian! I’ll make yummy Lebanese rice with green beans for sure! (The green beans are cooked in a tomato sauce spiked with cinnamon, believe it or not — to die for — then poured over the rice cooked in butter, pine nuts and broken vermicelli)

As for Xmas, it’s not my deal but my son in law’s — who loves to cook. Xmas Eve, I’m doing the LA thing w/ pals. Friend makes homemade tamales. I’m thinking chili.
