For poems requiring rhymes or syllable counts (haikus etc) I still begin w/ the pen. Or, of course, when I'm out and about and a 'line' or two occurs to me. Lance Morrow, a wondrous writer from back in the day, wrote an amazing piece on writing with a pen.
