I absolutely believe that some of us are born, this life, to be what is often called (archetypically) The Wounded Healer. And we can't heal others with our art unless we 'get it.' We have endured and overcome or made peace with our own pain/scars. I'm always moved by how Christ resurrected with his wounds...as if to say, they're with you always. But what you do with them is up to you.
