I am SO forwarding this article to my daughter, who teaches English Lit at a school that has considered no longer teaching Shakespeare (dead white male) and gave the boot to To Kill a Mockingbird because of the N-word - when to my point of view, this is an accurate depiction of the times and underscores the COURAGE and compassion of the book's hero Atticus Finch.
