I didn't know How To Grieve effectively/healthily/reverently until I worked with a grief counselor.

…y that time, I had understood that showing any indication of grief was too much for others to bear. Now I know that it’s because they had never learned how to grieve, and maybe they didn’t have the time because they had to survive. But, back then, all I knew was that it was somehow my fault for making them uncomfortable.
