I discovered fairy tales while prowling thru my father's library one weekend morning. It was, like you said, A HUGE TOME! But I was entranced from page one. Perhaps too entranced. It took a lot of living and loss to learn how to balance my love of fairy tales/what my therapist calls 'fairy tale thinking' with wisdom.
