I have similar thoughts, Franco, regarding the delivery people for Instacart, UPS, Amazon etc. I leave snacks out for them and always tell them how grateful I am ... but I also know how hard their lives are. I suppose ALL lives are hard but, as your poem describes so well, physically grueling jobs at low pay have to make life rougher than most. Sorry if I'm rambling. I spent the day digging dirt in the garden and I'm wiped out.
