POETRY! I realize we're a small niche...but quarks are small, too, and look at their power. Poetry can change lives. Poetry can speak in ways no other verbal form can. Every word a note of music. (No coincidence poetry has 'stanzas')

I could go on forever about the value of poetry but I'll stop and let Plato speak:

"Poetry is what in a poem makes you laugh, cry, prickle, be silent, makes your toe nails twinkle, makes you want to do this or that or nothing, makes you know that you are alone in the unknown world, that your bliss and suffering is forever shared and forever all your own."
