So many beautiful images of Light throughout this poem recounting dark times and resurrection

…woke to a morning that felt
 like the first day of creation.
 
We looked out the window and smiled.
Snow was falling soft as forgiveness.
The snowfall caressed the cedar roof
 of our shelter, like a pregnant mother’s
 soft hand searching…
