eve held me, he’d dance aw…our conversation became. . .
Now my throat aches — why didn’t I say it:
 — that when Steve held me, he’d dance away gloom,
laughing so hard, I would fight not to cry?
Me far off, he in his hospital room,
I didn’t realize that night he would die.
“Talk soon!” I smile…
