This 'echoes' what friends and I were discussing the other night - how PC/Cancel Culture sometimes goes too far. (And I say this as a progressive!) One of my friends got turned down by a previous publisher for his new novel because he wrote it first person with a female narrator. Apparently this is no longer allowed.
