This is exactly what happened to me.

oyed by the irrelev…ntion — I couldn’t really afford it since I was going through an important phase in my PhD program. I realized that I became more jealous than usual when I saw the photos of my friends having the time of their lives (or at least they looked so). I was annoyed by the irrelevant drama that was none of my business. Seeing the number of unread notifications irritated me.

This is exactly what happened to me. I only keep my account to wish people happy birthday if I don't know their emails. I don't miss FB at all.
