This is so true - I actually chose to be a stay at home mom back in the day...a choice that garnered much derision even back in the late 80s/90s. So I looked up what my pay would be if I were hired to do all I did. $$$$.

PS - this is NOT a choice I recommended to my daughter who's a young mom. I've learned it leaves a woman too vulnerable.
