This reminds me of the friendship of Noble Laureate/Physics Richard Feynman & the artist Zorthian. (I live in Pasadena, home to both RF and Z and Caltech) Feynman learned to paint from Zorthian and Zorthian learned physics from Feynman. Fascinates me.
