What I didn't realize about Medium until well over a year in was what a wonderful resource Medium is regarding finding your writing 'tribe.' I published very sporadically; didn't spend much time at all reading others. Of course my stats reflected this, as did my earnings. Which ranged in the 10 CENTS field.

Eventually, grace of God and Muse, I was nudged to read other poets, mostly - my goodness, there are a lot of talented writers out there! So, I focus on engaging with other writers, as well as publishing more often to perfect my craft.

Fortunately I'm retired, so I can afford to ignore claps/stats/curation/earnings (still not high). Too easily they derail and demoralize me - especially the whole damnable curation thing. There's something off with it - not sure WHAT. But to whine sounds like sour grapes, so enough on THAT.
