WOW! I had a similar experience with 'the aunts.' The name our family had for my father's three unmarried sisters who lived together, like Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather in Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Anyway, they did NOT like my mother and, because I was a lot like my mother, they were VERY critical of me. I could never truly warm up to them.
