You know, Kurt. I tear up when I see photos of the statue of liberty. I think of the PROMISE of this country, the light for ALL...and to see that it is basically a myth makes me weep. I just cannot understand the GOP. Well, I do. They're fear driven. But I fear them hugely. Fear that one day we'll find the statue of liberty the way she was at the end of Planet of the Apes. Heartbreaking
