…metaphors are at work. Although I know more than a little about how to weave metaphor into writing, I want to extract it out of the writing process — hold it up to the light and reveal something of its nature.

Love these lines as well:
A metaphor collapses boundaries, obliterates and nullifies them. One could even say that a metaphor is inherently anarchic.
